Argentina national men’s soccer team is one of the most successful national teams in the world. It has won 19 titles in important international tournaments, including 2 World Cup titles, 14 Copa America titles, 2 gold medals in 2 sessions of Olympic Games and 1 Little World Cup title.

Argentina national men’s soccer team made their debut on May 16 1901 against Uruguay national soccer team. Led by Mario Kempes, Argentina national men’s soccer team won the World Cup title in 1978, which was the first World Cup title to Argentina.

Diego Maradona was selected captain in Argentina national soccer team in 1983, and Maradona’s first goal for the team was the most controversial goal in the world, and the goal was called “Hand of God”.




Today, the most famous player in the team is Lionel Messi. He plays as forward as well as attacking midfielder, and he is a successor to Maradona and he has been regarded as “New king of Soccer”. Moreover, he has won Ballon d'Or five times, which is an amazing record in soccer’s history.
